Early this year, the Gold Bar Reporters received public records which suggested that the Snohomish County Prosecutor and Executive John Lovick’s illegally withheld access to public records. Public records that Citizens for Sustainable Washington requested almost four years ago.
As a result, the Gold Bar Reporters contacted Citizens for Sustainable Washington and turned over public records we received documenting that Snohomish County withheld public records requested by Citizens fo years.
On September 5, 2014, the Snohomish County Daily Herald reported that Snohomish County agreed to settle a public records suit brought as a result of withholding access to public records totaling more than $575,000.00.
