Welcome to the new slave trade: American Prison Corporations

As local, state & federal prisons move towards privatization NO ONE seemed to notice that the slave trade has resumed business as usual. The only difference is that it is not just primarily Africans being traded for baubles by their Chiefs, or groups from other tribes  getting kidnapped to be sold or traded.

It is American citizens who are being rounded up & enslaved by CCA (Corrections Corporation of America) started by 3 former Government Officials. Along with many new fledging (and thriving) prison industries

Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) was founded on January 28, 1983, by Tom Beasley, Doctor Robert Crants and T. Don Hutto. CCA houses approximately 90,000 offenders and detainees in its more than 60 facilities and employs more than 17,000 nationwide

In a 1990s report, Prudential Securities noted, “It takes time to bring inmate population levels up to where they cover costs. Low occupancy is a drag on profits… company earnings would be strong if CCA succeeded in ramp(ing) up population levels in its new facilities at an acceptable rate”.

These folks lobby to get judges on the bench who will fill up their prisons & as far as I know this one story is the only time they have been stopped: Only them & God know how many Judges they have sitting on the bench squarely in their pockets How a Former Prisoner Took Down a Big Shot from the Private Prison Industry (and Cheney Pal)

Not only does this provide over 28,000 jobs mainly for veterans, but the food industry has found a way to profit as well Aramark provides food for well over 600 prisons, maybe more. No matter how putrid or rotten the food is they feed it to the prisoners anyway, maggots or not.

Someone would have to be lacking more then a few brain cells to not see & understand how the new slave trade works & why it works so well for so many. Most prisoners are minorities, with little to no education so who is going to fight for them? No one, except the innocence projects (unless the media gets involved & the agency can make donation money off of it)

So the irony is that the 13th Amendment AKA the Emancipation Proclamation has been reversed in the most perverse of ways. Reading from Wikipedia

December 1865 ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment, which made slavery and indentured servitude, except for those duly convicted of a crime, illegal everywhere subject to United States jurisdiction.^[5]

So you see there was a provision for legalized slavery all along it was just able to pass the lines of “color” but it held fast onto the socio-economic stigma.

So now you too can be a slave in America no matter what color you are.

As long as a prosecutor says you did it, & the Judge agrees, you become an indentured servant of the state, you lose your right to vote & you are warehoused & “chemically restrained” to give others a job.

The next irony is that once upon a time the country sought funds to free people

In December 1861, Lincoln sent his first annual message to Congress (the State of the Union Address, but then typically given in writing and not referred to as such). In it he praised the free labor system, as respecting human rights over property rights; he endorsed legislation to address the status of contraband slaves and slaves in loyal states, possibly through buying their freedom with federal taxes, and also the funding of strictly voluntary colonization efforts.^[38]

Now there is so much money to be made by enslaving people that these corporations don’t even have to compete with each other & our Government is actually paying billions of dollars to ensure that we remain slaves.

As a matter of fact the 5th Amendment was created to make absolutely sure that slaves were considered property & as such could not be taken from their “owners”

However, for purposes of the Fifth Amendment—which states that, “No person shall … be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law”—slaves were understood as property.^[9] Although abolitionists used the Fifth Amendment to argue against slavery, it became part of the legal basis for treating slaves as property with Dred Scott v. Sandford (1857).^[10]

There was a certain “journalist” that got all pissy with me about some of my observations of the local papers very lopsided reporting. Until someone beats you with a billy club & calls you a spic every day when you’re 12 yrs old & all you’re trying to do is get home from school. Until you are raped by a white man & called a lying little nigger by a white cop You don’t know shit about being a minority.

The funny thing is I have never been ashamed of what or who I am… As I have grown older I find the true irony: I have been ridiculed my whole life called a spic, a beaner, a nigger, a blanket ass, a muk luk, a dego, tight asss jew, a coconut, a pineapple, a 1/2 breed & on & on & on YET those very same people go sit in tubes to try to get close to the color I am, spray tan themselves orange, lay on the beach rotating themselves like they’re basting a turkey, die their hair, & try to “own” our music, our cultures & our customs, even our own dialects. If I had a nickel for every white kid I seen running around with baggy drawers & every person who now says their great grandmother was a “Cherokee Princess”  I’d have at least 2 million bucks by now. The best part about all of this? The people I trust the most with my life, 3 of whom I call my best of friends, blond fair skinned wonder women. Go figure. Times change & so do people, we still have a ways to go but we’re getting there.

What that tells me is that this is not just a “color thing” it is a “class thing” the 99% being enslaved by the 1%… since we now hold corporations as “persons” because of a few morons at the Supremely stupid Court that number will get worse. The good news is that eventually that 1% is going to piss off that 99% to the point of no return & they are going to realize that they really don’t have to take this shit. (Just look at what’s happening in Missouri… )

It doesn’t help that most of the folks I write about here are card carrying “Good Old Boy white supremacist members. I will reveal all of that once I get all of the records together but I promise it will be before election time!

It seems a good deal of Americans HAVE to have someone or something to hate…

It was the Irish, the Italians, the negros, the injuns, then the Japanese, the Germans, the communists, pretty much everyone from the middle east, hell even DOGS are not safe from this rabid desire to have something to hate, Dobermans, Shepherds, Rottweilers, now ANY Bully breed. We always have to have a “war” on something: war on drugs, war on poverty, war on guns, we can never be satisfied with peace.

Now that we’ve run out of countries we can conquer we have turned our destructive nature on ourselves: Case in point ~ Bungee jumping! Seriously? Do you honestly thing there is one mental human being in the middle east who says “Hey we should violently throw ourselves off of a bridge attached to a rubber band for fun”??? No they are busy blowing themselves & each other up in the name of religion.

We are no better then those that we hate.

Only in America can we call a boycott on games in another country because they are rounding up street kids & gunning them down but when those SAME kids come to this country seeking asylum we send them back to be slaughtered & if you don’t think so then you are more then hateful: You are retarded. My son-in-law went to go try to get some of those kids as they were being sent back & they were “gone” as soon as they stepped off the planes ~ you can find their bodies in a pile at the local dump.

Americans in general are lazy, they don’t want to leave their comfort zone, they’ll sign a billion online petitions, but they won’t get off of facebook, they will call for a boycott on gas prices but then they’ll go to the store & fill up their gas tanks which is why the prices were so high, they tried this shit in the 70’s & people actually boycotted the gas stations & they learned their lesson PDQ, they rant about Starbucks using child labor but that doesn’t stop them from a double tall machiatto in the morning, they whine about the mistreatment of animals while their gnawing on another animal, they won’t do anything or learn anything about their own govt, they don’t get involved in the process, nothing, It’s just weird.

How many people reading this have gone to a city or council meeting, met with your mayor, read about upcoming issues or laws that are going to be passed by those same people? Hell how many people have even read all the bills sitting in your state’s house getting ready to be passed? Do you have any idea how or what your local legislators have voted on or for for, or even against?

The sad reality is: We are slaves because we have allowed ourselves to become slaves.

Countries such as China and North Korea use prison inmates as slave labor, and this labor may be a reason for their imprisonment. In the United States, all physically able federal inmates are subject to forced labor, and paid as low as $0.23 per hour.
